Europe’s most spectacular coastline lies in Croatia: here stark serrated mountains drop down to meet the sea and form the verdant Dalmatian Coast. Strewn along this seaboard lies an archipelago of 1000 spectacular islands where traditional hospitality and a relaxed lifestyle are still the norm. These islands boast vast stretches of intricate shoreline set against backdrops of olive groves and vineyards. Our expedition begins in Dubrovnik, one of Europe’s best preserved walled medieval cities and ends in Trogir, another charming ancient town on the Dalmatian coast. During the intervening days our home is a gorgeous 100 foot classic sailing yacht. From this mothership we paddle along dramatic sea cliffs, discover sea caves and pocket beaches only accessible by kayak, and swim in azure water. We go for short hikes to explore historic fortresses and meander through timeless Venetian villages, stopping to sip coffee or to dine at little side-walk cafes draped in bougainvillea and jasmine. An adventure not to be missed!
"I love these old towns with the stonework and beautiful sea. To wake up in a new secluded bay in the morning, eat breakfast, go for a nice long paddle, go for a swim off the boat when you get back, grab a nice cold "pivo" and have a lunch fit for a king. That's what I would call a great day! ..."
