| We
are a married couple and an internationally published photographer/writer
team. Exploring new cultures and landscapes has always been an enduring
passion for us both and we have forged a lifestyle that allows us
to pursue this. After having traveled separately in many different parts of the world, in 1985 we met on Canada's West Coast. Together we built a house on a small island from where we could commute by kayak to the nearest town. This set the stage for our future kayaking expeditions, in Canada and further afield. Over the years we have pioneered sea-kayaking destinations around the globe. Many of these exploits are documented in our successful, internationally published books. Our goal is not simply to undertake physically challenging expeditions, but also to experience places on a deeper level - and we want to include others in this experience. For this reason we began to develop and lead trips worldwide, and in 1999 we formed our own independent company: Hidden Places. |
